Biographie

International development and humanitarian leader with more than 20 years of United Nations experience advancing sustainable development across Africa. He has led UNDP country offices in Liberia, Cameroon, and Togo, and supported more than 30 country offices and government partners.

Aliou Mamadou Dia is an international development and humanitarian leader with more than two decades of service across the United Nations system. As UNDP Resident Representative in Liberia, he provides strategic leadership for the country programme and works with government, development partners, civil society, communities, academia, and the private sector to advance inclusive and sustainable development.

His career spans country leadership, climate action, access to energy, resilience building, disaster risk reduction, crisis prevention, recovery, and humanitarian information management. Across regional and country assignments, he has helped translate national priorities and global development commitments into practical programmes, stronger institutions, and partnerships designed for lasting impact.
